Only last weekend, the annual 'Black Pudding Throwing Contest' took place at a pub in Bury.
The object of the contest is to throw, from a distance of twenty yards (eighteen metres) a whole black pudding onto the first floor balcony of the pub.
The pudding must be thrown underarm, overarm throwing is not allowed.
I know you yorkies are always trying to take the credit for the acheivements of us lancastrians, but really, trying to hijack our black puds is pure sacriledge!
