10K is too less. Ask for family status with family accomodation. Sure... ur wife can find a job here.

As a single status it seems that, u will be asked to stay in labour camps on the project site or nearby. Don't be a fool to accept that. Ask for family status together with a 2 or 3 bedroom flat. As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, u can go for nothing less than 25k.
