thatguy - so you don't think positive reinforcement would work with a child? Surely even a young child possesses enough learning ability to grasp that if it does something and gets a nice reward in return, then it's worth doing again?

Isn't that one of the ways that humans learn anyway, through positive and negative reinforcement? For example, touch something hot and you get burned, so you don't do it again.
