Friends,
When you say lease or hire both are related to car rental or car hire. All car rental companies provide these options but i will say better to go with branded companies like Hertz Avis Europcar etc because the local companies have very strange policy and procedures. If you make an accident or any damage to the car and the car has to be sent to garage these companies will keep charging you till the time the car is back. However the policy and procedure is different in case you rent it with international branded companies. They provide you a replacement car for no extra charge other than the insurance excess which is like 1000 or 1500 depending on the size of car and they will call you back once your original car returns from garage. How does leasing differ from renting. Renting is basically a car rented for short period on daily or weekly rates whereas leasing is a rental on yearly basis. Normally car rental companies provide cars for a maximum of 3 years lease. Leasing entitles you to special discounted rates which will remain unchanged till the time your lease expires. Buying a used car is not a good option as used cars are put for sale after the warranty expires i:e after they cross 60000kms or 3 yrs. Moreover the service is also at your cost and you dont have a car till the time your car is in garage for service which is normally 10days. I work myself for an international brand car rental and hence trying to educate people on the best and safe options.
