Back here in my country of origin, I was tested positive for VDRL (the test for herpes or syphilis, also known as RPR) but with a very very low titre. I didnt know I had this kind of antibody until this physical exam coz I always would have blood exams done from time to time and I was really shocked to have known this at this point (How come this was'nt detected in my past blood exams in various clinics and hospitals early on???). Im just days to leaving for Qatar. My agency has not called me since the physical exam. The clinic where I got my test already told me that it would be already impossible for me to get RP in qatar because it would mean deportation when medical exam is done there (They said Qatari med-com would not accept any explanation once you show VDRL positive). My question is how true is this even if my titre is too low (the clinic said they consider it as negative) considering the strict policy of medical exam in Qatar? Do I still have to hope that I will be able to work there? Please, anyone who has some answer, I would appreciate it so that my efforts of following up my papers would not all go to waste. I still have 2 weeks of waiting. Thanks in advance.
