6k fine is for beating the red light violation, or you have series of violation totalling of 6k. check your violation first. most of the time they will provide you pictures as evidence. once they produce the pix showing your car... wella.. you have to pay.

also note that your car number issued here in qatar is given to 2 vehicles. one for private and one for public. you might miss this out. check again.
