3% is the average and it's usually the seller or landlord who pays. Some try to be sneaky and take 3% from both sides which is NOT normal. One woman tried that with me with a 4million QR building. That means she'd end up taking double the commission.

I ended up saying no and buying a similar one who 3.8 and no commission.
