The case that you are reffering to at present only effects the school system it does not effect religion outside of the school enviroment and quiet frankly I can see why they have done this. In Australia due to pressure fromreligous minorities most pre-schools and infants schools have done away with christmas pagents that involved the story of christs birth, so as not to affend. All France have done is said "you want us to do away with these sorts of practices, then lets make all schools a level playing feild? We will do away with the practice of all relions at school so no one can complain." I think thats fair. As for being allowed to practice all reliogons freely here and there being temples and churches there is only one Church here and it is catholic what about a Baptist, anglican, Prodesdant church as last time I checked while they are all different from Catholosism.
