Homosexual sex and premarital sex is forbidden and I'm not gonna debate that. I agree with you on that point. I'm not here to legislate gay sex but rather to try to get the image of two men screwing each other every time i say the word GAY.

One thing you should know, my friend, is not not all gay people have the same understanding about the word gay as well. I have met many gay people and we all have different opinions, why ? because we are all different human being. The difference between you and I is what happens behind closed doors. THAT IS IT..NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS. So when two men want to get married, try to think beyond the sexual part or the religious part.. why do they want to get married ??
Here is why:
I'm a US citizen, Arab originally, but i can't sponsor a man from overseas if i fall in love with him, while my straight counterpart can issue a fiance visa, get to the US and start the immigration process. As a gay person, I don't have the right for tax relief because i can't file jointly to get that benefit, but if you are straight and have a girlfriend, u can file as domestic partner and get the tax benefits. Also you can add inheritance. If I have a partner that i lived with for, let's say 25 years and he dies, i have no right to inherit whatever we collected TOGETHER. EVERYTHING goes to the state and leaves you strip naked. With a domestic partnership for straight couple, you can include your girlfriend on your health insurance policy even is she is not working. But if you have a boyfriend and he happens that he is dying in front of you, there is nothing you can do about it. My life would be A LOT EASIER if I obtain one certificate, it is called marriage certificate. Why, because I will get all those rights with that piece of paper. It has nothing to do with God and religion. It is purely political. When i think about this certificate, i think human rights, i think immigration, job security, anti-discrimination law, I don;t think religion and GOD AT ALL. And all you hear from the straight folks is GOD GOD GOD GOD.. you are not even listening to me to understand why i want this certificate. Now i explained it, does it make sense to you.
In other words, I really don't care about the name of that certificate, you can call it a two-fagot certificate. FINE!!..JUST GIVE ME MY RIGHTS. So unfortunately, the only certificate that will give you that right is called "Marriage" certificate. The civil union is not accepted in many states. As a matter of fact, only three states in the US that accepts it, Hawaii, Vermont and Connecticut. And they are useless, you know why ? because it gives you half of the benefits the marriage license would give you. Civil union doesn't give you immigration rights or health benefits. It only give you tax benefits..so it is not the same level, that's why gay people want the marriage certificate. Not because they wanna get married, marriage is not gonna change anything in the gay life from a religious point of view..it is still Haram.
Solution: Either to extend the marriage certificate to gay people, regardless of what religion says about it since the US constitution is not based on religion, OR upgrade the civil union and extend it to enjoy all the benefits the marriage certificate will give you.
