Common sense is the ability, using ones own experience and brainpower, to determine if so called 'evidence' can actually be justified in reality. If you have any practical experience of the common use of 'statistics' you would know that they are commonly used, (as in construction safety statistics), to convey a totally false impression of the reality of any given situation.
