let me tell you what happened today..I was in the mall and bumped into one of my male students who is shy and speaks little English
he was off to eat...despite him coming from a very traditional family in a mixture of arabic and english he invited me to join them....
Now this young man has never known a woman outide of his family and has never interacted with a foreign woman before I was his teacher.

Now go on tell me fair and square that isn't hospitable?
I can't imagine students in the UK doing that.

A lot of Qataris I know have very giggly teasing sense of humour...
