Deadlines, targets, etc are part and parcel of everybody's job scope anyway. So, why do they still include this statement in job advertisements? Well, I personally feel that "Being able to work under immense pressure" simply means any of these:-
1. Being asked to sort out whatever rubbish that is placed on your desk.
2. Being able to take the blame for mistakes done by others.
3. You become a slave to your boss ... lunch breaks, "toilet breaks", vacations, salary increase, etc are up to the sole discretion of your boss.
4. Being able to do personal chores for your boss without a fuss.
5. Your boss' and the company's welfare take precedence over your personal, health and family issues.
In short, if you're still alive after you successfully accompolish the above, you must be an immortal i.e. zombie! :)
