The stock market is not for the inexperienced to try and play directly.....use the services of a stock broker...invest cautiously (depending on how risk aversive you may be)...and try to diversify...but most important of all....do NOT try to do this for a get rich quick scheme (a LOT more people LOSE money this way than gain it)...so invest for the long term....have a plan and follow it....this is the same advise I would give for any financial planning (not just stock portfolio).
