there.  Turned it down without a second thought.   My husband worked there on a project, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off for a year and a half.    Beautiful country, but just like others had said.    He had armed guards with him at all times.    Was accosted by policeman for bribes.  Our company housing was absolutely 1st rate, but we chose not to go as no schooling past 8th grade,, nervousness about proper medical care and you had to take the malaria medicine always.   The medicine ended up making my husband sick all the time.
