I am a big tipper. Wherever I go, I make sure that I tip someone that has given me wonderful service and I always tip 10%
However, the other evening I joined some friends at A'saha restuarant and when we left, I left 20QR, even though our bill was only about QR 150, as we had just had some drinks and sheesha. The service had been particularly bad but I still left a tip.
My friends that understand arabic overheard the waiter complaining that we had only left 20QR. I was shocked by this, as I felt he didn't even deserve that much as he had ignored us most of the evening and even got our order wrong.
in Doha is shocking.

It just seem to be the norm here.
