I'm pretty sure they won't risk injury by trying to apprehend anyone. Anyone in Doha ever seen a beefy security guard? Most of them are so skinny a strong gust of wind will knock them over.
Final suggestion (and this comes from 20 years experience of living all over the world) : if there is so much security in your compound and the villas still got robbed, the first people I would check out are the security guards themselves.
