1) Depends on your usage...off road...life definitely shortened even if they were to cleaned it frequently. But these engines should be built to last alot better than most conventional saloon/sedan; due to their build for the harsher environment and terrain.
2) Timer belt, radiator, fuel pump, water pumps, some ABS or brake pumps, carburetor, distribution coils would require a change by this mileage.
3) Constant maintenance by the owner over a specific mileage would help to prolong the life of the engine. The way the car is pushed also varies but if they go off road, tendency is that one would accelerate the RPM for that required torque on off-road.
4) Luck is also a factor. I have seen cars of less than 50,000 KM have their engine at the service centre on overhaul.
