The courses on PHR & SPHR are highly accredited and hold a lot of value if you are pursuing HR as a career. It will give you a lot of insight into HR terms / practices and internationally followed procedures. But, these are not based on general GCC HR practices. So sometimes, you will not be able to relate to what you are learning.
I cannot confirm that anyone with these certifications will earn more than an employee with enough experience and logical reasoning in HR procedures. However, these courses are catching up fast in this region and you will find a lot of people pursuing them to get that extra 'edge' in an extremely large/competetive talent pool of HR professionals in Qatar. You would have realised by now that there are tons of job seekers who want to be in HR in Qatar.
Sadly, most companies are not (yet) filtering HR professionals based on qualifications like these. This statement should never be taken for granted; as anyone who is aware or completed these courses (mostly HR / recruitment professionals) will keep a sharp look out for PHR / SPHR / GPHR candidates amongst a bunch of HR CVs.
So, to answer your question, if you would like the 'edge', do the course. Come out wiser, sharper and stand a chance of being recognised in firms which value qualifications. But if you want to do the course with the soul purpose of getting an increment or asking for more salary, Im sorry - i dont think this course will help you here. Why dont you ask for a better compensation based on your specific skill set instead ?
Keep in mind, PHR is a very tough course and cannot be cleared until you have a thorough understanding of the subject and topics. It is also costly to complete the course in Qatar. So think twice (thrice if necessary) before making the jump.
On a more lighter note, stop using CAPS on the sentences. It comes across as very rude.
