In 1915 Australian and New Zealand soldiers landed in Gallipoli Turkey to help fight in the 1st World War.  That day they landed has become known as ANZAC Day to commenorate the loss of lives and service  of all men and women  in all wars fought  by Australians and New Zealanders since .
