ayrton senna was in what was at the time was one of the most dangerous sports in the world.  another driver died the day before when the team were qualifying/testing.  

 

che fought wars, and in bolivia ended up going against his own code, which eventually pissed off the locals and cealed his fate.  you can't fight a covert guerilla war without support from the locals.  while i certainly agreed with che's goal of equality, the man was brutal and cold blooded.  the ends justifies the means for him, and i would hazard a guess that many of the people wearing his t-shirt don't really know much about who he really was.

 

so i'm not too sure including him in a "the best die young" list is appropriate.
