First of all, God did NOT make us dependent on men, there are plenty of independent women out there who are living without men in their lives. The thing is that everyone wants to be loved and we end up falling in love with the idea of love rather than the person himself. We stay in relationships just because we're too afraid to be on our own or because the situation has become so comfortable that we're too scared to try something new. 

By the way, both men and women can love blindly. I find that when a man really falls in love, he falls WAYYYYYYYY deeper than a woman and it's usually harder for him to recover.
