Like anywhere else if you live in the city it's more expensive of course!

It depends what are  you looking for and what part of the city you will be living.

Tax is high in Germany, and since I left it got much worse .... so I heard prices are rising for everything ,gas prices are crazy high

Personaly I would not want to live in Frankfurt it's a nasty city, so much evil there and dirty ... but there are the better parts of the town also.
