i understand your situation and how horrible cities like doha can be without a car. but i'd suggest you stay away from the debt/loan monster. in a place where you dont know what tomorrow will bring, its best to save up yourself. you could also go to the rent a car places..many of them sell their old cars and you could get a deal where you pay installments as if you are renting the car. when you reach the agreed price, they transfer the car to your name. you'll have to look a bit but hey it's an idea..best of luck:-)
