In theory you shouldn't be able to buy them because they became illegal last year under new traffic regs relating to vehicle parts and accessories. Nitrous injection and the use of sand tyres on the road are also illegal but it still goes on. Like most 'illegal' things here, without any sort of policing, defining them as illegal becomes irrelevant. It's also illegal to use your mobile when driving and to have unrestrained children if the car. Nuff said!
