yes it is fine..she can meet them in a public place (using every means neccesary to avoid meeting them alone with no intense personal conversations) and also in her office which is full of windows. However she should not be alone with men or mix with them in non public places without having a mahram with her. And this is for a variety of reasons! And what we see these days is that many men and women are mixing and flirting which causes big fitnahs in society. (not everyone is as devoted to their husbands or serious in business as yourself and even then there is temptation due to loneliness in the jet set world.) So it is upon the muslim to avoid this fitnah whenever possible! And create other avenues to achieve their endeavors! It is not that we don't trust you .. it is that we don't trust Shaytaan!
People oppress themselves by not following the religion. They create obstacles that have no need to exist in the first place. This religion leads the way to success to the hereafter and life as well as deals with many conditions and circumstances. However, it is never meant to make the world a perfect place to live as injustice will remain as long as humans are hungry for bloodshed and evil.
Which is why the angels asked Allah .. why have you created man who will only shed each others blood and Allah said that he has wisdom that you (the angels) do not!
The laws of Islam are the better than any other man made laws on earth although it is difficult for our delusional minds to comprehend!
