You take a driver's test when you reach Canada. Each province of Canada issues its own license, there is no national driver's license. You can submit your foreign license, and if it somehow it gets validated as accident free. You may be considered a "good driver" for cheaper rates or refunds on insurance. You will have to Google if there is a transfer option for that province.
