The offer you got looks great. And in qatar, as far as I know it, job givers consider bro/sis/parents non-family as far as allowances are concerned. So travel, medical, school, or any such allowances wud be only for the husband and children.
People here are really gud at minding there own businesses. If you like your privacy, honor, etc you'll most probably love it here. But there are occasional guys who get horny and drive crazy on the streets (You'll meet atleast one everyday). Qatari (or local) girls are mostly very friendly (unless you are the unlucky sort) and the local guys are weird (they wont hurt you or anything, but they alwez act weird.)
Not much to do or see around here unless you have some friends or family here already. Or you could join one of the membership only clubs. There are many (so i've heard) but I know of only Garveys. And no decent nightlife here either (unless sleeping is part of the nightlife).
Personally I love Qatar. Its boring, yes. But I'm starting to like being independent, selfish, weird, etc without having to offend anybody. Then again its just me. And even I cant understand me at times.
