In Al Sadd area there are a lot of rent a car companies,,,but the one i'm frequently renting is in Arab Tower.  Hassle-free, just give them the original passport then copy of your driving license and the payment.  You can rent even for days, unlike the rest will require weekly, monthly or long term.. Its near the Marmara Restaurant in Al Sadd.  Try it....
