Hi Tom,

Lebanese is quite different from the Arabic you learned. It's not a matter of dialect, it's the whole vocabularly and way of talking... i'm lebanese and i have an egyptian friend who won't understand what i say unless I speak really slowly and sometimes I even have to explain some words to him, so even Arabs find it difficult to understand Lebanese (or Syrian), just as I find it difficult to catch up with egyptians or gulf residents when they speak (unless they speak slowly)....also, i dnt think there are any lebanese lessons as there is no grammer or linguistic rules in the lebanese dialect.. so, if you're really interested in learning the dialect, you'll have to mingle more with lebanese or visit lebanon whenever you can...lebanon <i>is<i> a beautiful country and I'm sure you wont regret it...
