I arranged my marriage with the hubby myself. However, one needs a walee..

So let me explain.

I saw his picture.. thought he looked HOT! And had a chance to talk with him on the telephone and write emails, talked to his mom ~whilst this was all being supervised by my walee.

 I felt a spark.. he felt a spark..

And he flew all the way from England to meet me.

I took one look at him and knew he was the one - I guess he thought so too.

My walee wasn't happy (my Uncle) because my soon to be husband didn't want to give me a big mahr. But I said I didn't care and begged and pleaded that he was a good muslim blah di blah.. My father was completely against it all (long story and completely halal)

So in the end my Uncle agree and I landed in the UK.

I would say we arranged our marriage ourselves..
