First of all let me tell you that there is nothing wihich can stop you from smoking other than your WILL TO GIVE UP SMOKING.

You need to first understand what is the thing which make you smoke.
1. your mindset : It wants support! support of some kind which will give peace to your mind during tension / stress / anger etc. In case of smokers its "smoking" So you have to build your own support mechnism : like Music (which ever you like) any physical activiy like cycling, exercise, playing tennis , football, swimming anything...and that u only can identify.

2. Nicotine Cycle / Levels of Nicotine in blood: This is the nicotine content in the blood which gets lowered and bue to which the necotine which is absorbed by your lungs enters into your blood through your lungs (alveolies) and carried into the blood stream through arteries to Heart and pumped to Brain through arteries. this whole process is called as Nicotine cycle. This nicotine when reaches you brain gives you FEELING OF EASE, HAPPINESS, CLAM, WARMTH AND LOWERS YOUR STRESS, TENSION ETC ETC.... WHICH IS IN SHORT CALLED AS PLESURE..once your nicotine content in the blood decreases then you feel urge to smoke. if you break this cycle of necotine then you can quite the smoking.

3. Use Nicorette Chewing Gums: For first few weeks of quitting the smoking...its really difficult to avoid smoking...because as soon as necotine content in the blood gets decreased you feel urge to smoke. But now there are Medicinal Chewing Gums available in Pharmacy store which contains Necotine in small amount and which can be used as a replacement / as medicine for avoiding smoking during those initial days of quiting smoking.
What you need to do is first of all throw away all the accesories like lighter, cigarette case etc which you are handling for smoking by yourself and get these Nicotine contained chewing gums handy..when you feel like smoking just chew this chewing gum as an alternative. This also needs WILL.

4. Avoide visiting those places from where you purchase the cigaretts.

5. Let everybody know in your surrounding that you have quite smoking so that they do not smoke in front of you. Also tell your spouse so that he /she will support you when you need him / her the most.

6. TELL YOURSELF THAT "QATAR" IS A NO SMOKING COUNTRY AND SMOKING HERE IS A CRIME AS LIKE DRINKING LIQOUR WITHOUT VALID LICENSE.

I AM ALSO SMOKING BUT I AM SURE KNOWING ALL THIS I WILL DEFINATELY QUITE ONE FINE DAY.
