but only the first couple of days when it still seems magical (and clean).  after a week of shovelling and driving in slush, i would miss the sun again.

i also miss the general level of civility (from canada in my case).  i get it here sometimes, but nowhere near as much as back home.

i also miss the racial equality that you get in toronto.  my office doesn't pay for education so i tell people that i will leave by the time by soon-to-be-here baby starts school, but the truth is we will most likely leave before that because i don't want my baby seeing the way people from asia etc. are treated here and thinking that it is acceptable.
