I was chatting to someone about cycling at the weekend. Apparently i've done the right thing shipping my bikes out as buying a decent brand new here will cost 2-3 times as much as elsewhere.

Best check with companies such as Excess Baggage Company or other freight forwarders re shipping costs. Most will send a bike boxed if you take the pedals and bars off. Don't go to the airline direct, you'll get ripped off.
