With all due respect,why don't you take them with you? A dog/cat should be for life. We had ours in Cyprus with us for 3 years.
We now have 3 dogs here with us (from UK) and they will all go with us again if/when we move. Cats don't care much,but your dog will wonder why you have deserted him/her as you are his/her family. So sad.
