I'll try to give some details

Go to the group you are part of
On the right hand side of the screen you should be able to see New Forums, then going down Questions and Answers then you will find the group name (the one you joined)

Underneath the group name you'll see some links; click on the one that reads create a story

There you go, now you might be able to post within the group.
