Man, pack ur cargo by urself or get it done by some professional packers.. get it insured (Advisable) ... ie... prepare a list of all the items which u wanna ship; put a reasonable amount as the original cost of each item, take the list to an insurance co. they will give u a final amount which is agreed by the insurance co. as a total premium payable in case of lose. Just pay the premium (It will be something between 1500 - 2500 Riyals) depending on the items and total price u have quoted or agreed upon.. You can ship your goods by yourself or you can approach a professional freight movers/forwarders... You can clear your goods either by urself or by the agent of the freight forwarders here in Doha. when you get your goods in hands and if you find any damages to your goods, just notify the insurer's that you have sustained damages to so and so goods. And also sent a claim notification to the freight forwarders if any, holding them liable for the damages. In such case, insurance co. will appoint a surveyor/inspector who will come and inspect the damaged goods and will report to the Insurance Co. whatever the finding is... Accordingly, the insurance co. will settle your claim based on the inspectors report and terms and conditions of the Policy...
