your question doesn't make sense. to sponsor your wife YOU have to meet certain requierments, not your wife or combination of both. YOU will be sponsoring your wife, not your wife combined with you will be sponsoring herself.
By the way, authorities consider not only your salary, but some other factors too, while making decision regarding your sponsorship.
