Why r u waiting for the last date ? Don't you know ur official documents like Passport, RP and driving license can be renewed six months in advance? Even if you renew it in advance, the date will be extended from the date of actual expiry to the new limit.

I got my passport renewed within 4 days from the Indian Embassy. That was in 2008. I don't know the current situation..
