Reach out to Asia will only help muslim countries too.  It's not very open minded, especially from a group of people asking that the west be more open minded about their religion and way of life, but such is the hypocrisy of the world we live in.

 

At the end of the day we need to get along and get to a place where we are more understanding of each other, and if that means that charitble westerners have to lead by example by giving to these organizations, then so be it.

 

I don't think that religion should play a part in charity.  I don't agree when the US government links its AIDS funding in Africa to what it feels are acceptable family planning practices, and I don't agree with what the charities here do either.  But me not giving to them would mean that I am as much of a hypocrite as they are.

 

If Qatar Charity does good work, and is accountable, then I would give to them.
