Do agree that the word 'inshallah' is misued by many people.  I have heard it used many times to got rid of someone/end the discussion/etc.  Annoying at best.

 

However I don't thnk what you are referring to is peculiar to the Middle East.  In my experience bullsh*****g is a worldwide phenomenom.  Some of the CVs I've read over the years have been pure fabrication :/  Thankfully this was usually discovered at interview time.  And the first company who did renovations on my residence In NYC tried to take me for a complete idiot by saying they could do this and that when in actual fact their speciality was having 'union sanctioned' breaks - fine to take breaks but not ones lasting three weeks whilst they were still on the job!  What they were actually doing was another job on the sly and charging me for it - or trying to - hah!

 

Oh yeah, it's a global disease ;)
