Men seem to think that Kidney stones are excruciating for instance....whereas most women who have given birth AND had kidney stones say the former is much more painful....so I don't know if they're all lying or not....but my guess is they DO have a higher pain threshold (on average).
As for intelligence, depends on what you want to use to measure or benchmark it...but at my University for example, a massive study was undertaken (sample was 10,000 students if memory serves me right, half male and half female) using IQs, and guess what the result was?? ;)
