I've been there twice and I must say that the place is really wonderful. Regarding your concern on travel costs: ticket price from here would cost 3000-4000 QAR, I'm not sure with the hotel price cuz I stayed there in a friend's place but it should be around 100-150 Swiss Francs per night, 30 Swiss francs is a decent meal price, and a week of unlimited train within the country costs 260 Swiss Francs for 5 days. It is smart idea to take this unlimited offer and visit different cities. I particularly liked Zurich and Geneva but if you're into nature and the alps, Lucern and Bern would be your best bet.
