Whereas in the past most countries strived for self sufficiency (econimically at least) that trend is not even considered today....in the past you could live out your entire life without ever leaving your country, this is becoming less prevalent.....interaction/trade/travel between cultures is becoming ubiquitous.....common technology/consumer products/entertainement preference/ etc... have become almost universal....English is slowly taking over the world as "THE" international language....our great grandparents may have never spoken to a foreigner their whole lives, but todays kids play games online with virtual friends from halfway around the world...and the list goes on and on....
No, the world is clearly becomming a smaller place....and yes we do all have our difference....which is WHY we need to learn tolerance and let go of our "we are right and they are all wrong" attitude....or else there won't BE a future for our children!
Stay safe.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
