Cherukkan you are absolutely wrong. As is stated before, if the company you are working fore issues you a detailed salary statement addressed to QDC, then you go there and you get your liquor permit, independently of your religion. Once again the only ones that are prohibited by law to get a liquor permit are GCC nationals! Moreover, what is this nonsense “that a Muslim can get liquor if he has got a company registered in his name” and “I know some people personally who are Muslims who have liquor permit in the name of their Companies and are using personally. You will see lots and lots of Muslims in QDC buying liquor with a license issued for their Companies” a liquor permit is personal and can only be issued to a person and only he can use it. The only companies that get liquor permits are restaurants, hotels and some clubs like the rugby club. So stop writing about stuff you do not know about instead of assuming things.
Furthermore, QDC criteria for issuing liquor permits are based upon your company letter and you not being a GCC national. Hence, if you are a Muslim and you are a tea boy and your company is willing to give you the letter addressed to QDC ( which they will probably not, as many companies have the policy of only issuing the letters addressed to QDC to higher management) then you will get a permit. Therefore, you do not need to be a manger if you are a Muslim to get liquor permit.
It frustrates me when people post thing that they do not know about or that they assume that that is the way it is, or the way it should be.
