QAWS unfortunately is not yet a recognized charity in Qatar (it's a long, complicated process from what I understand) and donations cannot be made directly to them YET.

However, if you visit one of the veterinary surgeries here in Doha - you can contribute to the medical care of strays by offering to offset vaccination fees, spaying/neutering costs etc.

I believe that these services are often done at cost rather than what people like me pay (and I'm willing to do it for the return I get from my furry friends) - but any riyal paid is welcomed as they often help look after QAWS animals, at a deficit until a benefactor comes along.

For myself, I contribute via the vet but I also buy things for the local construction guys - especially at this time of year. Fleece jackets and blankets to help them keep warm as well as a few "golf" shirts to wear on Fridays when they want to look smart out and about. It's not a lot - but it's money they won't spend on themselves if they can send it back home to their families. I like fleece because it washes well, keeps you warm and dries quickly.

Every little bit helps.
