No, u can't. To renew the visa, u need to show original Passport at the counter together with the application and renewal fees. Once approved, they they will stamp/paste the renewed RP on the Passport. So the passport is a must. I don't know whether they will check the entry/exit status. better check it out with your company mandoop.
