To my dear American Friends

if you walk around and sell yourself as a "shoot from Hip" nation that knows all the answers to the worlds problems "basically, shoot first and ask questions later" then please dont complain when people overstate somethings in the US. Its never what you do, its what you are seen to do, that people judge you on. Of course these facts stated on percentages are untrue but first ask yourself, why do people say such things and there are alot of them. The US does a lousy job on selling itself, as a American friend of mine said, "why should we care, we are America, we dont need to bow down to anybody" this unfortunately is not the first time I've heard this out of an Americans mouth, actually I've heard it very often over the years.
America is a great country and does alot of good in the world but unfortunately its what it does bad that sells news and there is alot of bad out there caused by the US over the years.
By the way dont go slapping yourself on the back for having the first Indian Governour of a US state, it should have happened years ago, the fact that he is the first is for me a negative sign, as it took too long.
Only a few years ago, Colin Powell got to be the first black Chief of Staff, Obama is going for President but I ask you my friends how long have you had the Black community in the US, how long have they soiled away for the financial good of you, how long have they given up their lives in wars for US.

Jindals election is a start but it doesn't detract from the fact that their is still alot of work to be done in the US, with regard to discrimination, Gunlaw, Crime etc before you can really pat yourselves on the back.
