There are two different issues.. i guess..
you suppose to be in the airport 3 hours prior to the flight. SO if you left home on time, 3,5 hours in advance, you would be fine even with the heaviest traffic on the roads.. 2,5 hours would be enough to get to the airport even from saudi arabia...
