New born don't require water , as brestfeeds is only need during first few week of life, as brest feed fulfils water reqiurment of Infant, In case you feed with water stonach will get filled with water & infant will not receive desired calories & nutrients, also you can expose infant to contamination/ infection, brest milk is ideal & at needed temprature & hygenic, DON't give water to new born
