My father lives in NL, just outside of Amsterdam, and I have been there many, many times, from a week to just over a month. It is a lovely place to visit, though I would not really like to live in Amsterdam proper. Too expensive and as someone said earlier, not my cup of tea. It is a brilliant place to visit, but not to live; not for me anyway.
